Carol Waddy is a Human Resources Executive with more than 15 years of corporate and global human resources experience. She has served in various HR and Organizational Effectiveness roles from Fortune 500 corporations to large technology companies including GE Capital, Emory Healthcare and Acuity Brands, Inc.
Prior to joining Chick-fil-A, Carol was Vice President of Human Resources for United Way of Greater Atlanta where she served as part of the executive leadership team and was responsible for providing strategic and functional leadership for human resources initiatives for corporate and field staff across the 13-county metro region. She was also Vice President of Human Resources for Aquilex Corporation where she led all division Human Resources functions across North America and Europe. In addition, Carol led the corporate human resources function for Acuity Brands, Inc. the world’s leading provider of industrial lighting.
Carol has a Bachelors in English and Communications from Tuskegee University, MPA in Human Resources Management, and post graduate studies towards a PhD at Georgia State University.
She and her husband are passionate supporters of many philanthropic endeavors and have endowed a scholarship specifically for students pursuing their degrees at HBCUs. She is a member of the Board of Directors for C5 Georgia, Tocqueville Society of United Way and the Advisory Board of Johnnetta B. Cole Society. She lives in East Cobb with her husband and they have a daughter attending graduate school.
