Lee Doernberg has had 2 professional careers. The first part of his career was working as a Corporate Financial Manager for 2 companies in various capacities over 25 years. He was involved in Planning, Reporting and Operations. The first 8 years were with CBS (Magazine Publishing division) in Greenwich, CT while the next 17 years were with MCI (in 4 different states). His favorite position was Controller of the $300M Prepaid Card division for MCI.
After 25 years Lee then scratched his entrepreneurial itch as he started an Accounts Receivable financing business in 2006 in Metro Atlanta named Liquid Capital Funding. Since that time Liquid Capital Funding has assisted over 75 Small Businesses obtain working capital to facilitate their growth after the bank said “no”.
Lee has a Bachelor of Science degree with a Major in Accounting from The University of Rhode Island and a Masters Degree in Finance from Pace University. Personally Lee and his wife Linda have lived in Alpharetta since 1993. They have 3 daughters (Allison, Chelsea and Aubree) as well as a grandson Dylan (via Allison and Son In Law Caleb).
In his sparetime Lee is a Rotarian in the Alpharetta club and has twice served on his clubs Board of Directors. Lee has also been a longtime travel fastpitch softball coach where he prided himself in building teenage girls softball skills and self esteem simultaneously. Lee served on the Chattahoochee High School Board of Directors for the Diamond Club for 6 years while involved in Coaching. Starting in 2010 Lee started serving as Board Treasurer for a non-profit organization named C5 Youth Foundation of Georgia, an organization that builds leadership skills in motivated but financially challenged teenagers.
