Did you know: Georgia’s high school graduation rate is less than 70 percent—well below the national average? We think as a state, we can do better—much better. At C5 Georgia, we understand first-hand the variety of things that can contribute to this statewide problem, and it’s part of our very mission to close the gap between income and achievement for Georgia students. Actually, our vision is for 100% of Georgia teens to graduate from high school—and currently 100% of teens that complete the C5 Georgia program do just that.
It’s a cause we’re wholly invested in. That’s why we participated in Georgia Public Broadcasting’s Stop the Drop program, which is focused on reducing the high school dropout rate across the state. Take a look at the video to find out how C5 Georgia helps to Stop the Drop.
What’s Stop the Drop?
An initiative created by Georgia Public Broadcasting that’s dedicated to preventing high school dropouts. Stop the Drop works with organizations across the state, as well as schools, educators and communities to help bring students the resources and encouragement they need to be successful throughout their high school careers. GPB’s initiative aims to decrease the dropout rate by raising awareness and supporting students throughout the state of Georgia.
