Sixteen young people can do amazing things—especially when they’re C5 students. A small group of our students—four from each of the four C5 sites (C5 Georgia, C5 LA, C5 New England and C5 Texas)—more than proved it one soggy week in Atlanta recently, as they took our city by storm, ready to take on its challenges.

The ACT Now! Summit is a pivotal experience, and these students arrived ready to present their C5 site’s culminating ACT Now! Summits and begin projects to explore their topics. This year, they focused on creating pieces designed to reach other students around the country: PSAs that support their summit topics. The result? This very touching and well-produced PSA dealing with domestic violence:

The week they spent in Atlanta might have been a little soggy, but the experiences they shared, including serving during Hands On Atlanta Day, visiting the Center for Civil and Human Rights and feeding some of Atlanta’s homeless, will forever be bright memories, and the work they created will, we hope, benefit young people everywhere.
